Allow Hancock-Wood to install a radio-controlled switch (RCS) to manage
your air conditioning, and receive a four-month (June - Sept.)
$5.50 credit whether it’s activated or not -- and get a $100 incentive check. This part
of our program to help control the demand for electricity,
also helps stabilize its price.
During times when many people need electricity at once, Hancock-Wood
must meet that demand. At a certain point, additional –
and more expensive – generation units are needed to
supply the energy. That increases the price of electricity.
By briefly interrupting the flow of electricity to air conditioners
that have a radio-controlled switch, Hancock-Wood can lower the demand
for energy. This helps control the cost for it, and most people
with switches never even notice. Typically, our statewide office only controls for 20 minutes per hour for 2-4 consecutive hours in the afternoon -- only on those extremely hot days. The compressor is turned off, but the fan or air handler continues to run and circulate current air throughout the home.
And now when you install a free AC RCS, you'll receive a $100 check from us.
